Design on a Dime: Skirted Table DIY

I adore the look of skirted tables! This one, this one, and this one definitely caught my attention when pulling inspiration for our living room. Unfortunately these gorgeous tables typically cost a small fortune to replicate. While I wait for my money tree to grow I figured I’d try my best to “get the look” without spending hundreds of dollars! The grand total for this project (two end tables) was under $150! That’s what I’m talking about.

I started with the Ballard Essential Table (24×42) which is the perfect size for a living room! I’d recommend the 30×24 pr 30×30 for a bedroom. Once the tables arrived I played around with a few tablecloths and eventually stumbled upon this cute gray stripe tablecloth in the 70″ size.  I was convinced I’d have to bust out the sewing machine (or the glue gun in my case) and get crafty to achieve the look but the target tablecloth fit like a glove! Thank the Lord because I’m NOT as crafty as one might think! I love that these tablecloths were only $14.99 which means I can switch them out for something with a little more pattern down the road.

I still need to order the glass toppers (found them on Amazon here) but I’m pleased as punch with how they’ve changed the look of our living room!
