DIY Curtain Tape Trim

Oh y’all. I FINALLY finished the drapes in our living room. I used my IKEA curtain hack on nearly every window of our last home and wrapped up the project in just a few weeks. But this go around I needed to bleach the drapes first, hem them all, steam them all (because I had washed and driem them to try and bleach before soaking in bleach…) and then add the tape. So it was most definitely a labor of love but I’m so happy with how they turned out!

I used these drapes (half the price if you can visit IKEA!) and this tape for the project! Here’s the post where I outlined how to pinch pleat them yourself without sewing.

After hanging the curtains I literally taped the trim on with this peel and stick fabric fuse! I have read other DIY’s about fabric glues or iron on hem tape (which I’ve used in the past) but after putting so many hours into the project already I wanted the easiest possible solution. This double sided fabric tape is amazing and has held up well so far!

Now I’m moving on to the girls room and playroom, wish me luck! 🙂
