We had the best family weekend! Each year Jekyll Island Hosts the Shrimp & Grits Festival. It’s a fun event with live music, delicious food, good shopping and lots of fun stuff for kiddos to do!
Last year Alba Grace and I attended with my mom and sister. We had the best time! Sadly they couldn’t join us this year but Pearce was able to come! I am so grateful for our family days! Saturdays have become the highlight of our week – whether we’re at home in our PJ’s all day or off on an adventure. I love the days we’re all together, no matter what we’re up to!
The Shrimp & Grits Festival is one of the events I look forward to all year long. Pearce and I fell in love with the Jekyll Island Club Hotel when we honeymooned there nearly six years ago. It’s such a gem! The history, the Southern charm, the TREES!!!!! I can’t get enough of the gorgeous trees. It’s a great location for an outdoor festival. With three stages, over 30 acres of festivities, and lots to explore – I couldn’t think of a better venue!
I was excited to learn the event will be held in November next year! I’m hoping the property will already be decorated for Christmas! It’s beautiful during the holidays! Added bonus that it won’t be 80 degrees out! 😉
